one question i allways wanted to ask someone or some people

do you ever feal your in an arms race to watch anime against all your friends so you can have the inside joke or make the odd obscure refrence this is how i feal nearly every day with one of my friends

I do feel like I have to watch the latest stuff to avoid spoilers. Mai Otome, Rozen Maiden, Shuffle...sometimes I think I should drop image boards altogether.

I dropped image boards and compulsive anime-watching, and am much happier. Who cares if you knew about some useless joke or trivia a month before everyone else or a month after it died? Who cares if you saw some useless show about lolis flipping out? No one.

I've noticed that more intelligent shows are spoiled way less. A show being more "shoujoish" also helps. This isn't necessarily just about stupid people watching stupid shows, but rather about non-action shows being less spoilable (hence less X DIES stuff).

I had "friends" like that, and I laughed at them for thinking watching cartoons for anything other then enjoying them made them better then me.

.... I don't have friends like that anymore. (´･ω･`)
