So Episode 5 is out on Animesuki. I really like this series, I find it a genuinely funny farce. Yuri is just awesome.

Anyone else watching it? If not take this as a recommendation from Anonymous!

The subs (AnimeU) were a farce too. ^^;

How so?

I have deleted the episode now, but I recall jumping out of my skin a few times, despite that my Japanese is very bad.
The sub didn't match what the people were saying from time to time. Biggest crime in my book for translations is to make up sentences/words that are not in the original.
Also, when they eat at the beginning, the youngest girl's monologue is not translated.
Sloppy/missing quality check?

Magikano gets my vote for this season's "Most Likely To Be Watched By The Guys In Genshiken" series. It even has Haruka Momoi.

So then, did any group out there ever release a "halfway decent" version?

No, AnimeU is the only one doing it.
Also, I don't see them playng the v2 game.
Anyway, it was no big deal, it's not like there is a monster plot in Magikano.

I watched the first episode not expecting much, but it turned out to be suprisingly entertaining. Now it's one of my favourites this season.
It's interesting to see that, although the characters archetypes used, or rather, parodied, are fairly modern, the type of humour used reminds me more of something from the eigties-nineties.
Also, Momoi Haruko and Kaneda Tomoko in the same series is like having a wet dream come true.
