What's wrong with that? I guess the intended Japanese audience does not know of people such as Derrida, nor will most of the global audience. Those that want to know more about the creators thoughts can read up about the origin on the character names.

However, I can see if you're an expert in the subject, and Derrida and Lacan come up and are not used in the right way, that it might be dislikeable. For example, the reference to Edmond Dantes in "V for Vendetta". The mainstream won't get the reference, while those that know may find it stupid. I won't continue on this tangent however.
