Half of all Maastricht coffeeshops will be moved from the citycentre to the outskirts of town. This is done to relieve the locals of coffeeshopvisitors, but also to allow for better access.

Cannabis, which is foggy-legalized in the Netherlands, is a major bait attracting many drugtourists. About 4500 internationals daily, to be precise, which excludes Dutchies who also visit Maastricht for its wide range of supplies.
