Hardcore bachelor cooking - sauce plz (4)

I'm trying to learn to cook but I don't really know much about anything yet.

I've managed to create some kind of non-sauce, ie ground beef with good-tasting spices. Unfortunately I don't know how to make anything into a sauce yet without using cream, and cream is unhealthy (except I'm sure it's good for anyone's mental health ; ).

The stuff I use is
400 g ground beef
equivalent of up to 10 tablespoons of sweet ketchup
soy sauce (with salt, equivalent of maybe 3 spoons).
Quite a large amount of turmeric
Small amounts of curry (I know it's almost redundant), chilli powder and ginger.

Now, this tastes good as is with rice, but it doesn't really have any liquid in it. Adding water makes all the taste disappear, so obviously some real cooking magic is required. Anyone have any tips?

Oh and since this board isn't here just to help me, post any other (simple) sauce recipes you have here. ; ) Here's my simple, working and unhealthy recipe:

  1. Fry ~400 g of ground beef.
  2. Add ketchup and ground/similar black pepper.
  3. Pour 2 dl of cream all over the stuff.
  4. Add some dashes of Tabasco and some dill.
  5. Gradually decrease heat.
  6. Eat when the consistency is right for your taste.

It contains so much cream it works with anything.

The real solution would of course consist in finding a proper woman to do the job!

Hmm, this could be true. On the other hand doing a proper job with this myself would increase my chances of impressing proper women! Or so I keep telling myself. : )
