Are these the ones that had Bonta-kun and the Arbalest from Full Metal Panic?

No. This is an Original Generation game, so it's only going to have the Banpresto original robots they add as extras to every other SRW game. No FMP or any other licensed robots/series here. It's understandable since it would be a nightmare to sort out the rights issues with all the different license holders overseas.

Don't let that stop you from trying them though, they're the best GBA SRWs

They aren't "extras," they're the glue that holds the whole thing together.

The OG games are by far the best of the entire franchise, of which I've played 12 seperate titles.

Super Robot Wars J is the one that has Full Metal Panic.

English SRW. It's about fuckin' time. Hey, Winky Soft/Bandai/whoever! Do you guys mind translating the older ones too. Do NamcoXCapcom too while you're at it.

OG games are the only ones we can have.

Many shows featured a lot aren't available in the US (Combattler V, etc) and won't be ever because they're so old.

Since any company can license anime from any Japanese company, licensing becomes a pain. Two different shows coming from one company could be spread between two different companies. Not to mention that it won't be free, whoever would translate them would have to pony up.

Basicly, if we wanted a 'normal' SRW, it would have to be SD Gundam and friends, since anything else would be far too much work.

Winkysoft hasn't been involved in SRW since 1999, their last work on the series was with F Final.

That's why revolutionary changes to the gameplay start appearing at the turn of the century, circa 2001. Winkysoft would later go on to do that Zone of the Enders: 2173 Testament game for GBA, with essentially the same bare bones gameplay as their old SRW, just with a goofy minigame to determine hit and evade.

Yeah, and OG's gameplay is so much deeper and more complex than the Winkysoft SRWs that it's just ludicrous to imply WS had anything to do with it.

But, I like WinkySoft..._| ̄|○

oh well, back to Brave Saga then.

Does Brave Saga ever break out of the 90% dialog 10% gameplay stuff?

Not that it's important to this thread or anything, just wondering.

Not to my knowledge. I just play it for the wimpy ass robots. Apparently, they're so easy to control that kids mosty pilot them. And for the last time......they're NOT toys.
