Hi, I am from Germany. There's not much to say regarding that.

I think it's cool that you got 2ch and 4ch mixed up.

I'm Finnish, so I guess I'm pretty "international". Assuming we're not using US definitions, in which case 'international' means 'from the United States'.

6 Name: Random Anonymous 2005-05-18 08:45 ID:Heaven

hey guys, what's not international?

7 Name: !WAHa.06x36 2005-05-18 12:51 ID:AgQ9Gp2V

Anything not in international waters, on Antarctica, or in orbit.

Comedy "Sealand" option.

America is forgein right?

I guess it depends on where the servers are,

10 Name: Random Anonymous 2005-05-20 05:06 ID:Heaven

"This server is located in the USA" according to a post in Film&TV
The admin is from Australia
The users are Japan-worshiping otaku

So any other country is "foreign", I guess.

11 Name: American 2005-05-23 22:17 ID:DSD5Lv80

whatever I'm just having a good time. too bad I'm not forgein. At any rate, I wouldn't say I'm otaku. I don't like most anime and think raw fish wrapped in seaweed is a baad idea for a snack (gimme toquitos any day).

Is there an actual definition for otaku, as in how into Japan you have to be before you are otaku? or is it more subjective?

12 Name: Random Anonymous 2005-05-24 04:05 ID:51kzkh38

If you are not living in Japan, you are most likely a wotaku.

13 Name: Random Anonymous 2005-05-25 01:39 ID:Heaven

I wouldn't say I'm "Japan-worshipping otaku". I'm not addicted to things Japanese, I mearly have an interest in Japanese culture. I also am interested in photography, Perl programming and mountain biking, so its hardly the only thing I like.

14 Name: Random Anonymous 2005-05-25 10:07 ID:Heaven

If you don't know if you're otaku, you're not otaku.

15 Name: Random Anonymous 2005-05-26 20:44 ID:T2+aH3hP

>>13
If you program in Perl then you're obviously not wotaku. You'd have to use Ruby to be wotaku.

I noticed we have two people living in Oceania so far.

Trivia: Did you know that the Chatham Islands (part of New Zealand) have their own timezone, 45 minutes ahead of New Zealand time? Pretty amazing to have their own timezone, considering that only 717 people live there!

We should have a user from the Chatham Islands!

I am a dutch guy, also attracted here because of densha otoko. This anonymous posting is very interesting, although sometimes there are people who answer to your post in a very interesting way, so then it is too bad that you can't contact them that well.
