Write poetry. Do it now. I don't care if it sucks. I don't care if you have nothing to say. Stop making excuses. Write some poetry and add it to this thread.

Whiz-bang, neato, super cool, awesome
Everything is nothing except when it's not
I was trying to find some things, but then I lost some
You can fit your whole damn life into a slot

Moments run away and then we cannot find them
Time will never stop, so keep up the pace
Do you stand up for friends, or do you hide behind them?
Not taking control will blow up in your face

A haiku:

I have a test on
Tuesday in philosophy.
I'll probably fail. =(

This haiku sucks ass.
Although self-referential,
it is not clever.

I hate the hustle-bustle,
To-do lists, appointments, people bumping into you in a crowded hallway,
Words, artwork, immaculate conceptions, busy streams,
Busy roads, old roads to be followed, new and unexciting roads to be mapped,
Materialism, politics, making your point.
The tide of life strains itself washing up and up again.
How I long for nothingness!
The open, empty, and pristine clear.
It wants not to be acted upon, it demands nothing of you.
It doesn't exist.

TICK TOCK!
Your time is running out.
TICK TOCK!
That clock is coming for you.
Let's go get some barbeque and get busy.

wood smoke in cold air;
dead leaves, counted as they fall;
the coming autumn.

It reminds me of Piccadilly Circus
at seven o' clock
one foggy sunday eve,
a love that never was.
Waiter,
there is a pubic hair in my soup.

My life is too stressful.
I think too hard and too much.
I wish I were some other animal.
I'd like to be a bug.
Being a bug would be nice;
Nobody would critique your poetry
Or say mean things about you.
If they did you wouldn't care
Because you'd be a bug.
In conclusion, the life of a bug is short and happy.
The life of a human is long and crappy.

this is a nice one, whoever made it should post here too:

The leader

Patient and steady with all he must bear,
Ready to accept every challenge with care,
Easy in manner, yet solid as steel,
Strong in his faith, refreshingly real,
Isn't afraid to propose what is bold,
Doesn't conform to the usual mold,
Eyes that have foresight, for hindsight wont do
Never back down when he sees what is true
Tells it all straight, and means it all too
Bracing for war, but praying for peace
Using his power so evil will cease:
So much a leader and worthy of trust,
Here stands a man who will do what he must

Unfortunately, the serious poem >>29 is a lot crappier and embarrassing to read than the silly poems within >>1-28
Requesting better critiques

Why must you click on something so flashy?
I guess I can call it job security.
You call on me only when your computer gets too slow
To keep up with the speed at which your life flows.
You wonder how it got all those icons and toolbars,
And when I tell you how, you look at me like I was from Mars.
Viruses, trojans, adware, spyware, all these maladies
Have enslaved your computer once so free.
And when I return it to you so clean,
You're so anxious, excited, and keen
To keep on believing the myths
That got you into this mess to begin with.
If only you'd stop using that insecure I.E.
Get a better browser and virus/spyware protection, they're free.
I guess I really can call it job security,
Becuase so very few will keep doing this for free.

I'm going downstairs and getting another donut hole
