Darkhorse/Oh! My Goddess (6)

It would seem that darkhorse, a company practically defined by its slowness in releasing anything at all, has released volumes 20 and 21 of Oh! My Goddess together in the same book. The price remains the same as it would have been with only one book.

All I can really say is thank god they did something to restore a little faith in them. Now if they would only get off their bums and crank out a lot more 3x3 eyes...

Opinion?

You are thinking of Studio Proteus, not Dark Horse. Dark Horse is just their publisher. And Studio Proteus may be slow, but the quality of their work really is unmatched anywhere in the manga translation industry.

I think Studio Proteus is now part of Dark Horse.

And they're the only publisher (in English) that produces material worth buying, IMHO.

They, and maybe to some extent Viz, are the only commercial translators whose quality of work exceeds your average fan translation group. When I translate or edit, I always think of their work as the standard I should strive to live up to. That's not to say I've ever managed that.

The editing by Viz could be better. I'm a bit out of date though, perhaps they've improved.
