it has been confirmed is to be held in Boston Massachuesetts - toward the end of the summer.
Last year Wikimania was held in Frankfurt Germany. The Wikimedia Foundation sponsors the free world on-line encyclopedia and the Wikinews projects.
These projects supply information that is changeable by individual editors - a media for the people by the people and of the people. (http://www.wikipedia.org and http://www.wikinews.org)
Wikimedia projects are hosted for internet relay chat on irc.freenode.net #wikipedia and #wikinews
It is expected that Wikimania will be held toward the end of next summer as a part of an annual initiative to gather the writers - editors - operators - and interested parties from the foundation and open source community at large.
