"Four British men held at Guantanamo Bay for three years as "enemy combatants" have been freed by UK police."
"The men, from Birmingham and London, were questioned at Paddington Green police station after returning from Cuba but were released without charge."

Note that the earlier three Guantanamo prisoners were also found innocent and released when back in the UK.

Now all they need to do is get the other innocents out.... before world war 3.

Well there are about 30 already who died under the torture, does that count as a release? ^^;

Yeah? Never heard of that before.

I have to wonder what kind of techniques they're using over there. Given the amount of time, either the people over there are innocent or the interrogators are inept. Or have I missed something?

But given the amount of roughness used, I wouldn't be surprised a few have died already, either from the bad conditions (there were UK reports that the released prisoners didn't look too fresh on arrival) or from suicides or from the tortures themselves.

Yeah. I get the impression that they are not even trying to get confessions or anything. Like if they know the answers already, but they do it anyway because the brass is asking for it.
There was a news item the other day about the Israeli secret service suspected of knowing the planned attack as well. It feels like the 911 attack was known to several secret services beforehand. What's the use of trying to get confessions by rough force if one knows the answers already? Answer: it's pointless. Nesides, what happened to the truth serum?
The other thing is that if you use torture on a man, he'll confess anything and everything you want and more. See the USSR good old days for reference.
