Anyone gonna try it this year?
moar like nanoWRYYYYYYmo, amirite?
I hit 10,000 last year before spending three days at an anime convention and completely losing my momentum.
Totally doing it this year. No plot. No chance of success.
No chance to survive, make your time!
bump for rapid approachment of november
remember remember the 5th of november
i wimped out :(
4,300 and building steam!
I'm behind. Only 1800 or so...
You still have a chance to catch up. Map out what you want to happen in your novel and just write like crazy towards those goals.
I'm still just as behind as when I posted that. I have no idea where to go with my story at all.
Bunnies come out of the air vents and attack everyone.
There, I just gave you a plot event. Now write!
I have a couple friends who are doing it pretty seriously. Not me though.
Oh, I just had a great idea (...finally) and it's spawning all these silly possibilities. There's tons more to write about. I'm pretty happy.
Probably not going to make the nanowrimo wordcount goal, but whatever. I'd rather write something good than something long.
Today I finally got some writing done... but only 1000 words, leaving me just shy of 3000. Crap.
I wrote more than 4000 words today. Now I'm at 7000. Hooray!
I wrote 7000 words last Saturday, like 4000 Sunday, 3000 Monday, none Tuesday, and ~4000 yesterday. I'm less than 3000 words away from 50,000 now.
Who won?
Wrote the 50,016th word last night at ~7PM.
キタ━━━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━━━!!!!!
Next year we should form a 4-ch nano group. Hell, a year-round writing group would be cool too. Anyone interseted?
Oh... I wrote 51,000 words this year. I would totally join the 4-ch group next year but I don't know about a year-round group.
I wrote 51,067 words if you count my em dashes (you know -- those things) as words.
I still think the idea of joining a group based on participation in an anonymous BBS is weird. But, um, anyway, there's a thing called "Club 100" where you write at least 100 words a day for 100 days (more if you feel like it after the first 100, obviously), and I've been thinking that would be fun to do.

There's another group doing the same in January. I might try that the first time. I wanna get a whole story done.
I've got an idea for the background already. And somethings that I really really want to say.
There's another group called "NaNoWriYe", "National Novel Writing Year." Somehow, I feel that that is a much better idea.
I got just over 80,000 last November. I look forward to the next one - I'm going for 100,000!

Did you write anything good enough to show other people?
bump for new year of nanowrimo!
Who's in?
>>26
I think it's pretty good considering how unedited and raw it is. But then again I'm biased because I'm an egoist.
I'm really busy this year, but I'm definitely in nonetheless! I think I'll still go for 100,000 because I'm crazy that way!
I'm in! Writing a neat lit fic about a political revolution. I hope I can devote enough time to it... I've won it twice before, but I'm so busy this year. :S

Be my NaNo friend so I can race you to the finish.
Warning: Last year I was interested in working slow, so that I could feel like I had a finished novel on my hands. There was some amount of backspacing and editing involved. This year I am going to jet propel myself and write as much dialogue and plot craziness as I can, with the aim of completely rewriting it if I want to make a finished novel. Depending on how I budget my time you might find it hard to catch up!
Ugh... I slowed down and got stuck!
I gave up. :(
I gave up, too. I have too much schoolwork this year to do it!
Yeah, November is a really bad month... if it were in July I could easily get 200,000 words by sitting on my ass all day drinking Moxie like I do usually.
Anyone else wrapping theirs up?
A winar iz me! :B
My epic tale of Irish mythology and stomach cramps has been completed.
I started on November 29 hoping to write really fast. But I eventually scaled my goal back to something more reasonable than 50K. I made my revised goal, but didn't win NaNoWriMo, but oh well.
