I'm going to learn perl, but I have to travel so much that I don't very often have a net connection, so I'm going to download some books to learn Perl with. But, what books should I download?

As often as RTFM seems an insurmountable task for those unfamiliar with straightforward technical writing, I must agree with this. There is an extensive library right under your nose aimed solely at beginners to Perl, and even programming in general.
