Hello, my name is Robert Martin. I read about BBSs and imageboards in an online article and they seemed very interesting, so here I am. Do you guys have any tips for a first time user? I would like to know how you draw all those funny guys. Also, how do I register my name? From the way it looks now, anybody can just type in "Robert Martin" and pretend to be me.

Anyway, I just figured I would say hello to the community before I start any serious posting. Please forgive me if I am doing anything wrong. I recently retired from my job working at the dam and my daughter bought me my very first computer to keep me occupied. :-)

You may register your name by following these steps:

1) Call three people in Anime either Wapanese or Otaku
2) Post a babelfish translation onto 日本語
3) Come up with one original piece of ASCII ART and post it on AA Bar
4) On Tech, post with the title "Please Register name: password"
5) Wait at least two weeks for a sysadmin to give you official registered status

It's a bit tricky of a procedure, but we do what we have to do to keep the trolls out. Be sure to follow the rules in the link posted above.
