TOKYO \ Fast-food chain Yoshinoya D&C Co said Friday sales leapt 19.3% in December from a year ago after it began offering its mainstay "gyudon" dish of seasoned U.S. beef on rice on a daily basis on Dec 1.
In October and November, Yoshinoya limited gyudon sales to five days a month after resuming sales on Sept 18 following a 2 1/2-year hiatus caused by fears of mad cow disease and an import ban on U.S. beef. The number of customers jumped 17.8% in December, marking a fourth consecutive month of year-on-year increases, the company said.
Too bad the only Yoshinoya restaurants in the US are in California. :(
Now...2GET!
Oh great...
If Yoshinoya has a 150 yen off guydon sale, all hell will break loose.
I've been to Yoshinoya once. I'd love to go there if it was 150 yen off. I'd take my family to go eat there. I also heard the sauce was pretty good.
Oh, yeah, the sauce is primo. Get extra sauce if you can, d00d.
Really, great news!
Fuck I should have bought that stock
