i was watching the cowboys the other day, with john wayne, and i noticed that when he took the childrens guns away, he told them that if they wanted to fight, they could just butt heads. however he said it so quickly that it sounded like one word, buttheads. and this got me to thinking, was the term butthead originally intended to mean one who butts heads, or was it always as we consider it today, someone who has a butt for a head. i then began to assume the former and that the latter was something conceived entirely in my head. i am a dumbfuck for always believing that butthead meant a head shaped like a butt.
