One piece of advice though is that if you've been running with normal shoes, be careful switching to barefoot running (and I imagine the Nike Frees/shoes that emulate barefoot are the same) because your ankles won't be so used to the lack of support. So even if you run long distances at the moment with no problem, you'll need to hold back and work on getting used to running with less support before starting to up the distance.
