Anyone know of some good easy recipies for stuff I can bring to work? There is a microwave there. Preferably something that can be mass produced and then frozen to be eaten (or reheated and eaten) later.
You could bring a bento box, it can be pinku (thats japanese for pink) or any guy color. It probably should be 2 or more kotoba (thats japanese for 2 compartments) and preferably chibi (small) sized. All your co-workers will envy you if it's really kawaii (cute). They usually cost about 10-20 bux. Could you please post pictures of it once you bought it (i want to be shure if it kawaii[cute]). You should also have matching chopsticks holder with it (WITH chopsticks). OH! and it CANNOT have any cartoon pictures, or be made out of plastic. It has to be made of ceramic, or something like that. Also it would be nice if it was made in japan. and not in china or corea (korea) or whatever. I have found a bento box similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was 1 kotoba, and i dont want your gohan (rice) to touch your other things (it can get wet and i would not like that, plus 2 compartments looks more kawaii)
>>2 isn't all stupid. Makizushi are pretty easy to prepare (Preparing takes a while at first, but after you get the hang of it you can prepare the rolls pretty fast) and can be kept a while (wrapped in a damp cloth in the fridge). If you use something that isn't fish as the filling (Egg is quite tasty, I also tried cucumber) they should be good for a pretty long time, though I don't know about freezing. The problem would probably be that it's not too cheap to make, the rice is obviously cheap but the nigri can be costly.
i'm not too big on sushi. Living where I am, whenever I go out with friends, often we'll eat sushi. So i'm tired of sushi as well lol. Sushi and vietmanese noodles both.
For mass production, a big pot roast is great. Slice the meat, and freeze whatever you're not using within the week. Cream soups are also good for freezing.
spagetti!! freeze them in individual serving containers. by lunch its a bit thawed out. i wouldnt recomend more then 4 servings pre made. you'll get sick of it.
well yeah pasta is easy to do.
Make a shit load of pasta and when it's done throw down a shit load of sliced ham and a SHITLOAD of cheese and then mix it. put in old icecream boxes and start shuveling it into the frezeer.. if you want some more tast in it use ketchup!
