This board needs a steak thread. C'mon, half the posts on the front page are Asian food!
I had a steak at the Ruth's Chris steakhouse in Chicago the other day. It was cooked in butter. Lots and lots of butter, sizzling on the plate. Now THAT was a good steak!
Where's your favorite joint to stop by for a nice juicy steak? (In moderation, of course, gotta stay healthy ;)
Shit... I havn't had a good steak in quite a while... I could really go for one right now!
Why butter? I don't think there is a need for the butter.
For me is better grilled, a thick nice juicy steak.
Steak afficonado checking in. As for me, it's gotta be a grain-fed porter house cut.
I have yet to try steak with butter. Perhaps I will do so ... when I get my braces off. >=( I used to get my steak at Tony Romas' though I still prefer my mother's steaks. :P
Damn you! I was in Chicago, and I didn't get to have their famous steak. Annoying!
I'm a big steak lover.
So, how do you like it cooked?
Me? I like it to moo. Possibly run.
Ooh. When I went to this diner, I'd frequently order a porter house w/ Montreal seasoning.
What's your best recipes for steaks? Please share some. I've never tried cooking steak on my own before but I really wanna make one for my boyfriend.
Easiest method, if you're not much of a cook and he isn't either...
Montreal steak seasoning rub + Foreman Grill
Cooks it evenly and quite well, minimal cleanup, pretty tasty. I'm a student so it works out pretty well for me.

Your loss, good sir. But do you eat beef?

I have not had a good steak in so long. All the stores near me have terrible steak with two much gristle and it is so tough it takes forever to chew it enough without choking. So the only way to eat it is to make a stew with it.
