I love Korean food, and we don't have a thread for it!
What is your favorite?
I like Kimchi and Kimbop, of course. And for main dishes Bibimbop, Japchae and Naengmyeon are very good.
Some Maeuntang would also be nice right now, too.
sundubujjigae
Does anyone know how to make the broth for the spicy soup dishes??
KOREAN food!

I like kimchi and I like daeju bokkum.
kalbi.
Admin please, delete that url... The pictures in this site are horrible.
the only thing is can like about korean food is kimchi. although i'm dying for some bugolgi. wonder how it tastes like.
I was at my local Korean restaurant this past weekend, and got a seafood soup, and in it, there were shrimp with THE HEADS STILL ON! Needless to say, I ate the heads, as well, which are probably the weirdest looking thing I've ever put in my mouth and chewed up. They tasted like the rest of the shrimp...I've just never been to a place that serves the head before.
i like dog soup
Boiled testicles of Japanese fool on a bed of rice.
galbijjim, samgyetang, galbitang, gochujangjjigae, suhllungtang, soondae, etc.
>>19 do want!
But seriously, the one thing that concerns me about korean food... they eat a lot of bracken fern, right? isn't the bracken fern carcinogenic? I don't want to get stomach cancer ;_;
wtf is bracken fern + gtfo keeaboo
brackens are a genus of fern. Proper name "pteridium" They're digestable but it's carcinogenic. There can even be carcinogens in milk from cows that grazed on prackedns. Link related, EDUCATE YASELF
KIMBOP LOL
I NEED KIMBIPS TO LIVE
I love Korean food. Pretty much anything with beef will do. I eat a fair amount of bibimbap, and Korean barbecue of various species, but I frankly enjoy the banchan (kimchee etc.) spreads at least as much as the main dishes.
is there any good vegetarian korean food?
soon dubu
Okay, I will wait a bit longer, and BTW my name is not Dubu.
Stereotypical responses as expected, thanks for making me lose faith in humanity yet again.
bulgogi. like, plates of it.
is there any vegetarian korean food? like meal-wise
Most Korean places (at least those around here, in N. California) will make you dolsot bibim bap without the beef (just rice, veg, and egg in a hot pot), which makes for a pretty good vegetarian entree.
anyone know where i can find Korean food recipes?!
never tried it before...
apology juice! ~nida

Actually, soon dubu, while delicious, usually contains both beef broth and dried fish flakes. No hunks of meat in it, but it's not strictly vegetarian.
The only Korean stuff I've ever ate was a caramel candy stick which was apple flavored.
>>37 You could try some japchae. It's noodles with vegetables, so I wouldn't see why a vegetarian couldn't eat it.
As far as favorite korean foods, I would have to say bulgolgi or kalbi.
I really like kalbi but I just hate the whole short ribs and the bones thing - which is basically kalbi.
But I love the way it's marinated!!!
I like pulgogee, whole fried fish, and stone bowl seafood soup.
black bean sauce chapagetti...!!! just ordered a huge box... I like kimchi, too. and korean curry... and then those bbq chicken breasts, they're delicious!
you eat dogs?
Whats the korean dish with the noodles and the onion sauce called? Its a dark looking sauce...
I don't care if it's cats 'n' dogs or whatever, Korean BBQ is wonderful. Really, any flesh of any animal is probably awesome that way.
Kalbi... marinated short ribs... sooooo good.... had some last night and it was awesome
<3 Korean food. Sulong tang my fave
