As a good boy I'd like to make a point of thanking for your meal before eating it. Here in the West we have special prayers to do that but this is bad and despicable because not all of us want to pray to a cosmic zombie. That's why it's good to do as the Japanese do: saying "Itadakimas" ("I receive," no double entenders here you rascals! ;P) before starting to eat and then finishing it off with "Gochiso-sama deshta" ("It's Mr. Feast" har har). Oh, and you have to put your hands together while doing it.
So let's all practice saying "itadakimass" (ee-tuh-duh-kee-muhss) and "gochiso-sama deshta" (go-chee-so-suh-muh day-shtuh) together! Are ya with me?
"Itadakimes"
"Gochiso-sama deshta"
Well I was expecting a tad more enthusiasm here. It is important to honor the age old traditions of Nipopon especially if you're into animes and manga's (and I know You are! LOL!).
So many difficult Nippon words!
