For my contribution: Apple cider vinegar. It gives me a boost of energy, better than coffee, especially since there's no crashing or jitters after I have it.
I've heard all kinds of stories about how it's amazingly healthy, the cure-all miracle tonic, etc, etc, but I don't know how true it all is.
All I know is that I like it (the taste is like an icy cold splash of water on the face- if you like that kind of shock, which I do at least!), and it heightens my mind and mood, it helps ease sore muscles and it seems to also make my skin healthier, which is good enough for me.
Apple cider vinegar is the secret ingredient in my homemade barbecue sauce.
I just tried that OP. I poured some "naturally brewed" cider vinegar into a cup then added some water. it didn't taste as bad as I thought it would, kind of like lemon juice in water does. Don't know if it's something I would regularly have, though I probably put too much in. I too have heard stories of it's supposed benefits.
I never dilute it with water. I just take a couple tablespoons though, so it's not too hard to slam it.
I'm sure that's not good for your teeth...wash it down with water, or brush your teeth afterwards
