It was a hoax. There was never a OOT2d (A completed demo anyway). They were not stopped by NOA. The creator just created hype by fake screenshots and some tech demos made in a matter of minutes to create a community. Then, to make sure he won't release the demo (since it doesn't exist), he contacted Yahoo to shut down his site, and made fake NOA lettters.

I played a demo of it, but all you could do was walk around. I think it was someone who had the dream but not the drive.

you mean you start accepting donations and then Nintendo threatens you, that isn't BS, and sometimes these things don't go through. We all want to blame some but realy it all has to do with circumstance. The creator of the game doesn't want to be sued and Nintendo doesn't want some one infringing on their franchise, and lets face it, it's a stupid idea, what on earth was wrong with orcina of time, it was 3d, big deal, it was still a realy good game. To say that it is an awful game and needs a down grade just because it isn't a top down 2d game is realy just stupid, it was presented the way the original creator intended and if the creator doesn't want some one messing with that then it is in his right.
