I think the fellow needs to read a bit more literature about the effects of violent media on aggression. There are numerous studies that support a strong causal relationship between the two, albeit the effect is short-lived. There was also one large longitudinal study that noted a strong correlation between television viewing and crime rate.

I think the media is overdoing it, but his case would be stronger if he didn't claim "Most have found little to no connection, although some studies found a small, casual correlation between aggressive people and violent media."

That's false. It certainly makes me wonder about the rest of the article.
