<obligatory mention of zsnes, espxe, and MAME>

I was always quite impressed by Nesticle and Genecyst. Both were written by one person, and both performed amazingly well. I used to run both on a 486...

I liked Nesticle and Genecyst, too, but eventually ran into problems with them, but can't remember what those problems were. I use Jnes and Gens instead. Both Kaillera compatible.

I found Project64 pretty good.
Chankast sucks, but it's the best DC emulator afaik.
DOSBox is probably the most well known(and the best?) DOS emulator...

if you are talking about N64 Goemon games, Project64 is still the best. First game is still unsupported, but the second one runs pretty well. And grab the Japanese version (Ganbare Goemon 2 - Derodero Douchuu Obake Tenkomori) for the awesome opening theme (entirely cut on western versions).
