I've been thinking of picking up a PSP for a while, but I came across something troubling. I noticed that some games, such as GITS: Stand Alone Complex, will actually have english menus and subs when the Japanese software is used on a US PSP. However, I've been lusting after the Ceramic White unit, which, as far as I'm aware, is JP only. So, is there any way to make such games activate the "english mode" when played on a JP PSP?

1. Buy the ceramic white JP unit.
2. Buy a plain US unit.
3. Switch the casings.
4. Take pretty casing for granted.
5. Feel like an idiot for wasting your money.
