This was a SNES game which really was a "Mario first-person shooter" (well, it's more of a rail-shooter but you get what I mean). You used the SNES Super Scope for shooting at enimies and rode on Yoshi and mainly went in a fixed path (except for the occational "fork in the road" in which you quickly choose where to go) and you had to be careful not to shoot Yoshi as you'll make Yoshi lose life.
The story is somewhat like that of Sonic the Hedgehog in which Mario and Yoshi need to recover these seven power crystals by defeating the Koopa Kids and Bowser/King Koopa himself. It's still really fun to play as it does take some startegy (esspecially when choosing what way to go at the "fork in the road" mements) and you need stratigy for the bosses (mostly startegy for hitting weakpoints and stopping attacks).
The only problem is the fact that the Super Scope takes 6 Double-A batteries and it uses them up in a short matter of hours (something around 6 to 9 hours). But still it's rather fun to play. Anyone else own it or have at least played it before?
I remember buying the game and the guy telling me that I didn't need to scope to play
Bullshit
