Any good tetris clones for PC or PS2? I already know TGM series, but it's for arcade.
2GET
I was thinking of the same thing the other day! I just resorted to playing Tetris on a NES emulator.
yo might wanna check out kyodai mahjong..has a nice tetris game, and several other games included in it. I downloaded mine, and just found a serial key...heres the link
Kyodai Mahjongg seconded, I'd actually pay the guy money if I had a credit card.
One of my best gaming experiences on any platform was playing a wristwatch form factor version of tetris. It was so much fun!
Tetris is a 9/11 simulator
It needs to be banned
glad you liked it alexander. I would pay the guy too, if I wasnt stuck in college.
in response to #6....why is tetris a 9/11 simulator and how? tell me, do we stack airplanes on top of each other?? do we attempt to crush the buildings/people underneath the blocks...no. so where do you get the bloody idea that tetris is a 9/11 simulator
There is no tetris-type of game in Kyodai Mahjongg
there is. I have the bloody full thing on my laptop, I'll just pull it up later.
unfortunately I dont have it there..oh and how do you get the >> thing in there. unfortunately i am newb at bbs format.
Click the number or just type >>number manually.
to get to the tetris part of the game in kyodai mahjong you have to either go to new > and then hashira, or else just choose hashira from the game menu. the game has very relaxing and calming music though, so don't play it if your trying to stay awake. otherwise the game is great all around
>>8 i finally get the joke...took me a bit. too much logic classes does not mix with wierd puns. have to go watch azumanga daioh again just to get back to thinking straight
Tetris DS
4 player online wireless, 10 player local ad-hoc. Plus 5 other game modes.
ARG. I want a DS so bad right now, but maybe I should wait for the DS Lite.
its fucken tetris for gods sake

Hashira isn't a tetris clone. It's a different game.
call me anal, but i don't really want tetris DS just because of the nintendo-specific themes. i don't WANT to hear noises from another game every time I drop a block.
the whole idea of a DS dosen't thrill me in general. I'm not quite fond of the controls, and I have a tendancy to crush/bend the pointer pen easily because of excessive grip workout. the system just didnt work for me...
now the gp2x does look appealing. I love linux, and its a portable multimedia unit that can hook up to the tv, which works great for me. the only problem is its an import, and its expensive.
heres the link for it.

I would consider getting it w/ tax money, but that has to go everywhere but games right now.

careful with the gp2x. they're supposed to have very spotty quality control. i nearly bought one until the horror stories started coming out.

friend of mine has one. only problem was a shitty connection to the AC adapter.
bump for tetris clones
Does it have to be a clone? The official Tetris Worlds was damn good on PC.
tetris worlds? I have that for the GBA. I really hated the music. Thats why I just got the DS version.
lol
This all reminds me that I miss Tetrinet...
Game Boy Tetris is truly all you ever need. The rest is just filler.
