hey your friend code has been un-greyed since last night, i sent you i think 3 emails so far, they will be from "alt=weiner" (metroid prime,-alt form is for weiners)

i think you can just go to the moghouse and choose "from faraway friends" this will sign you on to wifi and it will acknoledge that i have added you guys and it will let my system know you have entered my friend code too.
devon if you recieve mail from alt=weiner, thats me, my messages are kinda just blurbs because i found it annoying that the space key is on a seperate page from the letters, if there is an easier way to write a space ill actually write something anyhow write back when you recieve that stuff

if you exit the game and then change the time on your ds to be one hour ahead, then go back into the game, it will alow you to send more mail, i dunno whats up with that i maxed out job levels on dragoon and ninja, and saw the mastersmith and along with the master weapons i can now stamp my mail with those things im not really sure what they mean tho... anyone feel free to answer that...

Ok i looked into the master ninja/ master dragoon thing, i guess doing that basically sent you a voucher to recieve the master weapons for those jobs from the master smith. This means that you will not have to have a level 99 ninja or dragoon to get these weapons like i did, you merely have to find the master smith.... or so vague online sources indicate

wait.. thats not quite correct, i believe you will also have to give the smith the orchilium to get the ultima weapon first...

the iron giant wrecked me the first time!!!! the first time i ever lost in that game for a long time. :(

haha yeah the iron giant is nuts ive tried playing him like 10 times with different party configurations, all my characters are like level 70 and i do pretty well until I do some damage to him, and he starts using "swipe" that causes about 4000 damage to all of my characters, (my characters have about 4500 hit points) makes it seem impossible at the time. I would wait till youre about level 80 to try to seriously tango with him, The best strategy i had was to put all my characters in the back row, have a provoking viking with two shields, a ninja throwing shirukens, a devout constantly casting curaja, and a bard using the apollo harp to cut down on damage in association with using turtle shells for protection, but like i said it only gets so far until my viking fails a provoke and he starts cutting down other characters in one hit , and starts using the swipe attack

any better strategies by anyone would be highly appreciated

devon, did you get to cash in those signatures for the weapons yet? i was wondering if that worked.

my characters are lv99 and have 9999 hit points. i had a ninja doin about6000 a hit, a knight doin about 3000 a hit, a sage doin curaja every chance she got, and an onion knight doin 3500 a hit and he still annihilated me. it was a lot harder than i thought. i underestimated it by a mile x 10

first of all u both have to put in each others codes then u have to go to moghouse and chack to se if there are any new messages from far away friends. it just seemed to work for me. im not exactly sure, just wait and see i guess. i just added u too so keep on this site and u will usaually see a message from me so im on alot. tell me when u will be on.

i got ultima weapon and magic lance what happens with master ninja?? where is the smith after i get the orichalcum

for the 1 hour limit, just save after u send a message and then set the time on ur ds one hour ahead. trust me it works.

after you get the orichalum the smith wanders from town to town. i found the smith by just going back and forth from grysal (in the house with chocobo pen) and the healing copse. they are right near eachother and if you keep moving back and forth between them you will find the smith eventually. I just found her again and she gave me the ninja weapon.

as for the iron giant, if youve been playing long enough to have level 99 characters, trust me, invest in lots of shirukens, put a ninja in the back row with 2 shields and fire away thats the only way my ninja can take more than 1 hit im sure yours would do much better, my level 70 (job level 99) ninja does 9999 damage every time with a shiruken. my level 70 (job level 44 viking) in the back row with protect spell and an apollo song and calling provoke with 2 crystal shields can reduce his attacks to about 300 damage (aside from meteor and swipe) my strategy ivolved only the ninja attacking and everyone else trying to stay alive and keep him alive. If you follow this strategy with level 99 stats im sure you should be able to beat him. My suggestion for a party : Bard, Devout, Viking, and ninja.

haha i re-read the first line of my last post, i meant that if you had been playing that long, you should have plenty of money to invest in shirukens, does anyone know how many hit points the iron giant has?

any suggestions for exp grinding? im getting really bored with it but i want to beat the iron giant, ive only had to grind basically to beat the water temple, and then i grinded up to level 60 to beat the game, but now i feel like i have to play for an hour just to go up one level---> any tricks or is it really just long hours?

back to the iron giant thing, you could probably shove an onion knight in the spot of the devout, because he probably has better stats at level 99 and will be able to use better defensive equipment equip him with 2 onion shields in the back row and curaja away, just speculation, my onion knights suck at level 70 :)

i believe it was 199999. i found it somewhere and i remember saying how could a monster have that much hp. thats insane!!!! thanx 4 the advice ill give it a try

tracy, for experience, can u beat red dragons fairly quick, if so do that for hours and before u know it ten levels have gone by. it works really well. thats how i did it. i beat the game at level 99. i messed the last boss up thats why i underestimated the iron giant so bad!!!! >:(

the onion knight at level 99(job level 1) has all 89 stats.

the onion knight takes only 1500 per swing and 600 per meteor so he can take a few swings on his own and he is the guy that i used to keep everyone alive so it worked until he killed the viking then after that is sucked.

i found a person that would be better suited for the party against the iron giant.... dark knight with his souleater does anywhere from 7000-9999 each hit so if i have two onion knights healing and keeping everyone with viking and dark knight then that will be good.

haha i just went grinding in the ??? cave for red dragons, after about an hour and a few levels later, accedently fought the iron giant... wow whata waste of grinding shoot myself in the head

that sounds good, but like i said a ninja in the back row with double shields can still deal 9999 every time, and probably take a hit better. Also, are you using the protect spell? this was a spell i seriously overlooked the entire game until i learned how much it can break down IG's attacks.

i dunno i feel having everybody in the back formation with 2 shields is the only way to go on this giant

maybe if you have 2 onion knights, try having one specifically curajaing the viking like i said mine was only taking about 300 a hit with protect on and the apollo song, you arent using a bard so it will be more damage, but keeping my viking alive wasnt really the issue, it was more when he started hitting my devout and ninja. i suppose if your viking is low job level this strategy is kinda bunk too, because provoke wont work as well

i tried using four onion knights and it rocks but he kept silencing two of them and thats the only reason i lost!!! >:(

job level of at least 20 and they will take 500 per hit without protect and meteor will do 0. swipe will do about 3000 but thats about the only damage he will do. but make sure u have onion swords because when u run out of magic the swords with haste do 5000-7000 damage. u could beat him fairly quick with four onions!!! :)

equip:Genji shield, Leather shield, ribbon, fuma garb, genji gloves,

VIKING level 75, job level 44, formation: back
equip:aegis shield,cryst. shield, Crystal helm,mail, and gloves

DEVOUT level 75, job level 56, formation: back
equip: Golem & elder staff, ribbon, white robe, protect ring

BARD level 75, job level 8, formation: back
equip:Mahura harp, ribbon, mage robe, diamond bracers

1st round: Ninja uses turtle shell on viking(casts protection). viking Blocks( without proper protection, he will not survive the turn provoking). Devout Curajas whole party. Bard uses Sing with mahura harp.

2nd round: ninja throws shiruken, viking uses provoke, devout uses Curaja, Bard switches equip to apollo harp and uses sing.

after that: Ninja throws shiruken every turn, viking provokes every turn, devout curajas every turn, bard alternates equipment singing every turn with either the mahadura harp or apollo harp.

about 13 shirukens later, Giant is dead.

no i didnt i forgot to save before i went in then i beat him and i was gunna turn it off but then i remembered i didnt save so i was screwed. i will send u the thief card and the gladius is really good.

ah Dragoon+gungir+magic lance=destruction.

also knight+ultima weapon+save the queen=sheer bliss

nice i have the second combo!!! i think ill use against the iron giant. first im gunna max him out then raise all the other jobs to 99, any tips on how to raise them fast???!!!?!?! :)

hmmm if you are fighting someone who is gonna die after the first hit, make sure all other players choose "guard" that way they will take action before the enemy dies, and that goes towards job points.
the knight i think takes especially long to job level up, the jobs seem to level at different rates.

I would actually recommend upgrading the ninja first. He seemed to easily do 9999 damage from a very early job level. He is definately MVP of my team

im goin to take my ninja, knight, and two onions, fully equip them and go fight some dragons!!!! thats what ill do.
