Anyone have a truly obscure console? The sort of console that if you mentioned it to someone with a somewhat reasonable knowledge of games (let's say someone who knows about the PC Engine) they would still say "what the hell is that?".

I just recently bought a Gamate, which I think fits in to that category pretty well. It's a Taiwanese handheld console, an attempt to compete with the Game Boy (released the following year after the GB) but it wasn't successful anywhere. A couple of the games I have are reasonably fun and somewhat original, but most of them are just pale imitations of Game Boy and NES titles.
