I want to find an online game that you don't need to pay, or download to play.
Yes i know about Runescape, but it isnt all that fun!
sry if this type of thread is already here or meant to be somewhere else ^^'
Anarchy Online is free AFAIK
"AFAIK"? what is that?
do you need to download?
and what is the web address for it?

Yes, very funny. I look forward to seeing more of your humour, hopefully on a syndicated television production.
Silkroad Online, Perfect World, pretty fun.
Ok ill shorten it, are there any good browser-based games out there? (not Runescape or Urban Dead)
Oh. Browser games? I never play them.

Ragnarok Online is always fun...
Maple Story
Shaiya
Rappelz
Flyff
There are a bunch of free, so-so MMOs (mostly Korean). I play WoW myself, but those are a good distraction :)

An adventurer is you!
Shaiya looked awesome, but all 4 require download T_T
how much memory does the Shaiya client take up? and is it safe, + mac friendly?

Do you play the official server or the private ones?
The thing about playing MMO is more or less to join a party and be active in guild; for me who already failed in real life social, this kind of interaction gives me comfort.
mabinogi

have fun spending aeons running everywhere without a nexon cash mount
(decent game otherwise, though)
Right now I'm playing Mabinogi, its a free mmorpg with a cash shop. Its more like hidden p2p because those that pay get stronger faster and have more perks because of the optional subscriptions that aid you in game. Fortunately if you start up now you can play the mainstream storylines for free! woo! I payed for them when I first did, but oh well. Also you gotta pay for pets, especially the rideable mounts.
Plus, the combat mechanism is completely unique where you can be a cross of archer, mage, and warrior. Theres 3 races too, you'll see when you start ^_^. Archers pwn all right now, but it'll change later!
People give this game way too much credit. Its not as awesome as everyone says.

It's unusual among Korean F2P shitware for not being purely an unimaginative clone of some earlier hit (popularly Ragnarok Online, Maple Story, or Gunz.) Still shitware to some extent but I'm unaware of anything particularly better in that dimension.
I've just started playing Luna online, a new mmorpg thats just opened, and its pretty good. Like warcraft but a bit quicker to level and such. Its cool.
Give it a try.
