I never really wanted a Wii that much before, but I have been thinking about getting one awhile ago. That was around last Christmas.
Fast forward a few months later, it's July already, and I'm amazed Wii is still unavailable anywhere! What gives?
I know it's because Nintendo is probably not able to keep up with the demands, and a lot of people are buying them just so they can sell them higher on ebay, making it harder for the normal people to buy them.
But basically when is this shortage gonna end? This Christmas? Because although I really want a Wii, I'm not gonna dish out $200 more just so I can get it. I just wanna know when it's gonna be available again.
Anyone knows? I appreciate all your input.
The shortage is because the American dollar is decreasing in value constantly. Nintendo isn't going to bust their ass releasing consoles over here when they have plenty of demand in Japan and Europe.
However, I read in a magazine (I'm wanting to say Game Informer, but I can't promise that) that since supplies are being met everywhere else, we'll probably see a wave of releases.
Until then, check to see when your local stores are getting shipments, and arrive there early.
