Why does everything have a bloody subtitle these days. Especially RPGs. They're usually crap as well.
For those who are hard of hearing or those not confident in their english maybe? Seems like a small inconvenience for you that could be a massive help to someone else.
I enjoy subtitles and it's my native tongue. To me, listening to a movie or show or game is too much of a hassle because i have to constantly pay attention to what they are saying and if im not paying complete attention, it's really easy to miss what just happened or misunderstand what they said. When i'm reading what they are saying, it's much easier to let my mind wander because i get the entire dialog without paying so much attention.

Subititles for shows, movies, games, etc it's all OK with me

Most of them just add nothing to the title, and if anything just make it too long and unwieldy (and no one ever ever uses them in conversation unless its the only way to distinguish one game from another). Especially when it's an entirely original game.. established series can just about get away with it, I think, because it's sort of like "series title: individual game title"
it really struck me when i read about that iPod RPG, "Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes". "Song Summoner" is a perfectly good title on its own for christ's sake. It just seems like some marketing guy thought it would be clever to get the word "unsung" in there somewhere.
then there are the ones that go something like "Plot-Related Game Title: Also Here's What The Gameplay Is About" for, what, people who can't be arsed to look at the back of the box before they buy something?
