I don't know if any of you participated in round 1, but we had a very successful alliance there which at its peak saw over 500 members in-game and 70-100 members in our private IRC channel at any given time - And we're planning on doing it in round 2 as well!
For those of you who don't know, Lunarwars is a browser-based game where you make a moon colony and form an alliance with other players to take over the moon. THAT is our mission - Total dominance over internet moon games.

As i said, round 2 JUST started so you get in and you're almost on totally even ground with everyone else. We have a beginner's guide which will get you up to 50 AI and into war mode right away.
Once you have your colony, apply to the Elitist Lunar Superstructure here.

Here is the beginner's guide: Considering we came in a day late and our average size is comparable to everyone else's, this guide is top knotch!
1) Go to the 'minerals' page and collect your minerals.
2) Spend your starting funds and get 20 AI.
3) Buy 25 housing.
4) Buy soldiers/police, just enough to keep your citizens happy
5) collect taxes
6) Go to the 'loans' page and take out all your available loans.
7) buy about 10 each of the minerals Ilmenite and Copper
8) Buy Artificial intelligence until you have atleast 50.
9) Go into war mode.
10) Go to the improvements page and buy the following:
Public library
Commercial center
House of worship
Durillium Drills.
11) Buy some more soldiers/police, just enough to keep your people happy.
12) if you can, buy some mines then put the rest into paying off your loans
