Wandering through my collection, I had the idea to see just how many games of recent systems I owned that I just haven't gotten around to playing yet. I had about 12 PS1 games, one ps3, like 20 ps2 games, and a couple Gamecube.
My most aggregious offences - I own the original Grandia and haven't even put it in my playstation. Also, I own Wild Arms 1 through 4, and I have Alter Code: F, and only played a tiny bit of the first one that i don't remember much of anyway.
So, come, denizens of shame, and confess your sins.
i never finished Front Mission 3, first time my asshole brother deleted my 70 hours save. Second time, a savefile of also 60 hours and my copy DIED on me. Skip 7 years later, finally found a used copy and played like 50 hours but i just stopped..dunno why.
I WILL FINISH IT, both endings a&b (different stories, but it's worth it)!
Half Life, the original, for PC.
I even switched to Mac.

Happened to me twice with my PS1. All my game saves deleted. Most of the saves were either past the end, or right at the end. I was so mad. The worst was Xenogears - a long game by all accounts - where I was RIGHT AT THE FUCKING LAST BOSS. Eventually I managed to actually finish the game, but there are plenty I still havn't bothered with trying again. Legend of Dragoon among them.
I've played four Megaten games (two I own, the other two are the SNES ROM translations) and never finished any of them.
I bought Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance soon after it came out in the US, but when I got home I didn't have enough memory so it sat on my shelf for three years until I rediscovered and played it this summer.
>>6 I'm glad it had a happy ending after all.
many.. the problem is that i'm a collector and never could have time to play them all or even finish them... orz
Dino Crisis. Yeah.
Devil May Cry 1 and 2.
I suck, I'm stuck at the first boss in the 1. The 50 hz framerate makes it really unplayable though. That's not a game genre problem because I beat the shit out of everything in SotN.
I got the 2nd freely, as well as Zone of the Enders, as Project Zero and another I don't have the name of on me right now.
Oh wait, and Pitfall 3D. On Ps1. ...Yeah.
Didn't finish FFX-2, FFXII, didn't finish the subquests in FFX.
But it really was when I discovered emulation that I couldn't play until I finish the game I started anymore.
Air, Kanon, Clannad... still waiting for the translation teams to finish.
here's some more that I haven't played...
Dino Crisis (picked it up one day because i was feeling in a horror mood), Dark Cloud 2, Baiten Kaitos 1 and 2 (GC), Saiyuki: Journey West (PS1, was really happy I found this one day, Kagero: deception, Painkiller 1 , 1.5, and overdose...
more later!
>>8 yes, that's my problem as well. I try to console myself my saying that I'm preserving them for future generations.
well I own a ps3 with a few games. But I haven't played on it. I'm just using the ps3 to watch movies now.
Bad bargain my friends say :P
>>12 yeah ps3 sucks ass, worst buy ever=SHAME.
Persona 4 or P4. I've had a trauma from P3, coz my PS2 memorycard's system got error and my save game gone.. ALL GONE. Dammit, althought my brother's friend giving us a memorycard, but I still haunted by that incident. Arghh! \(>0<)/
yup, losing your data's a bitch.
speaking of this thread, though - Anybody get a kick out of the nerd level in Super Paper Mario?

I regret buying the N64 in general, I ended up only getting the nintendo games for it (Zelda, Mario, Starfox), and goldeneye. As far as console libraries go it had the fewest amount of must have titles IMHO, and then they make it even more obsolete by putting the killer games on the Wii. If I had been patient I could of played all those awesome games on a console worth owning.
I've bought Persona 4, havn't even unwrapped it yet
strictly speaking, i had many more ps1 games than n64 games, but I still appreciated their flavour. on that note, if you had a ps1 first, I can't imagine you wanting to buy an N64...
The Rare games aren't on VC, since Rare is owned by Microsoft now, so there's still something to play on it, I guess. That aside, I didn't care for the N64. I didn't even get one until 2000/2001, and I still went right back to my Playstation after a little while. I still feel some bitterness towards the direction Nintendo took post-SNES. I think the way Yoshi's Story stacks up against Yoshi's Island sums things up pretty well.
I haven't seen that, but it sounds funny.
Hmm...i got a lot of games that i want to play that I already have. Let's see....
For PS2:
Fatal Frame 1-3
Shadow hearts 1 (half-way ><..) . 2 and From the new world.

For PSP:
Jeanne D'Arc
Wild Arms XF
For XBOX 360:
