You need to see this video, it's f'n great!!! wii u kicks ass.
It was pretty patronising. It felt like some CBBC programme trying to appear as though it was for a general audience even though it was for kids.
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with children-oriented anything, but I liked what Nintendo were going for before, when they had random celebrities playing Wii games. This feels like a step backwards.
This advert feels so uncomfortable. What was with that techno music and the bratty girlfriend? The bratty girlfriend wasn't even played for laughs, really, it was just as if that's how hot young brits act these days. This feels so unlike Nintendo. They're a bigger company than these sorts of adverts. They should have somewhat cinematic ads, funny artistic ones that have the same spirit of the games they want to sell you.
Oh well. I'm still mad at Nintendo for the privacy issues with the 3Ds (read the terms of service or google).

Fuuuuuck man. I take a photo of myself, with my 3DS, that I bought, with my money, and Nintendo owns it? What the fuck!

Yeah. I decided to keep the wifi switch off and only use it for NDS games that didn't require an update. I feel like a douche because I got it as a Christmas present last year. I imagine in a few years running homebrew apps on it will be trivial enough that I'll get some real use out of it without fear of gettin' bricked.
I don't know why people think it's so acceptable either. This kind of thing is really on par with EA, but Nintendo doesn't get half the flack.
