Paper model help (5)

Can someone tell me how to do this? Check the site below.

It uses pieces like these to make the joints so that it can rotate, this is for another model(the dog one) but its similar to the hand.

Any ideas how to do this? Do I need really thick paper?

yeah, I know its .pdo, just asking how do I join the parts together like in which order and stuff, how do I glue them so that the parts are really joints that can rotate and move like in the image?
