Suddenly Seattle is a million degrees. I live in a room with terribly ventilation that is freezing during winter, way too hot now.
Does anyone have any tips for keeping a room cool? Now I just have a fan that I point out of my window during the day and in the evening I begin pointing it into my room. Of course in the evening it feels wonderful, but during the day...
Let's not die in heat.
Keep open windows and doors at all times, if possible.
Consider getting an AC.
Sit next to a fan and speak into it: WAREWARE WA UCHUUJIN DA
This is a Japanese incantation and will magically make you frosty and content.
"we are aliens"?

This has worked wonders!!

Yes, But letting the sunrays into your room makes it more hot.
Block the rays!!!!! waaahhh!

Some people think you should try to lock out the heat by only having them open during the reasonably cold parts of the day. I've never believed in them, though.
Stay naked.
Don't close your windows in the day. You want as much air circulation as possible. If the suns coming in, partially close your blinds/curtains and leave the window open. Breezes will push through.
Seattle is enmeshed in sin and deserves to fry.
I tisn't even Summer anymore but today it happened again: My computer just shut off out of nowhere. I have one of these retarded motherboards that autodetect overheating and automatically turn themselves off without any warning. I hate this but don't know how to fix it (I've tried, though).

My laptop does that all the time because the cooling element is so poorly designed in it. I have to prop the back up with a book or something whenever I'm using it on the table or it just shuts off after like 15 minutes. How annoying.

it could be the material the laptop is situated on. some kinds of cloths do not agree with my laptop at all. it shuts down automatically complaining of heat if i put it on silkish material, but if i restart and prop a book under it it is fine.
Go into your basement. Cement floor is best. Be nude...... Sadly computers generate alot of heat

Mine did that too. Turned out it was because it was filled with dust. Maybe you should open it and check?
or perhaps his computer is filled with some other "organic" substance? ;)

Nobody remembers "CU-SeeMe", and nobody should.

Point the fan in the general direction of whatever breeze is going through the house. This keeps and enhances air circulation through the house. Pointing the fan so it opposes the breeze causes air to stagnate, and even if it doesn't cause the ambient temperature to increase, it does make the room feel hotter.

I do, and it absolutely shames me -_-;;
