Anyone has any good info regarding the making of garage kits (no, not the assembling of bought ones, but the making of brand new ones). I'm interested in trying to make one, but i can't seem to find any useful info anywhere :O

I looked into this a little while ago, though I've never done it myself. Basically garage kits require a little extra work over a commercial model kit because they tend to be rough and require filling, sanding, etc. And painting any character figure seems to require a little more skill and patience compared to painting objects or machines like Gundams.
