I can't solve this math question:
A and B earn together 5500 bux
B earns 20% more bux than A
How much bux does A earn?
I really can't think of any way to solve this.
are you a student at needler hall or what.
a = 2500
Dumbo, you owe me your lunch tomorrow
Divide 5500 by 2, subtract 20% from one side, add the difference to the other. The greater amount will be B bux; the lower amount A bux.
WARNING: Do not divide 5500 by 0
That was pretty easy. I'm pretty proud I actually solved it.
>>7 is a MATHS GENIUS.
Still dum here.
>>Divide 5500 by 2,
2750
>>subtract 20% from one side, add the difference to the other
20% = 550
2750 - 550 = 2200
2750 + 550 = 3300
So how do you get the 2500?
lol elementary school word problems
Let a = amount A earns, b = amount B earns. So you know that:
a + b = 5500
b = 1.2a
Easy. Now you just solve that system of equations there.
This is for >>1:
(1) a + b = 5500
(2) b = 1.2a
sub (2) into (1)
a + (1.2a) = 5500
2.2a = 5500
a=5500/2.2=2500

There should be an "any questions"-board like on 2ch.
