Who takes good care of their fingernails?

I just finished filing mine, which I rarely do. While I regularly cut them (with clippers, don't chew them any more!) I very rarely actually file them and bother making them all neat and tidy. Frankly, I don't really care what they look like, but little barbs and sharp bits can be kind of annoying.

Seeing as I have reasonably poor hands to begin with, due to many cuts, burns, a lot of manual work and general, well, usage, they're far from pretty, but it's nice to have neat and tidy nails from time to time.

So, how far do most people around here go? Simple chewing, clipping, proper care or full blown manicures?

Shoes, then nails... are girls (gay guys) invading 4-ch?

Anyway, I just cut mine today. Only reason I did so was because they were interfering while I was trying to play my guitar.

i cut my nails often, leaving barely any white. most people think they are way too short, but i find it convenient as they don't get very dirty that way. at its heart it's probably an OCD though.

I hate long nails. Just cut them, please!

I bite my nails obsessively.

I find that lately, I pay attention to people's nails. A nice pair of nails can make your hands look slimmer. Also, this doesn't have much to do with nails, but keeping your hands lotioned is also nice. It feels good when a guy compliments on how soft your hand is. :)

I like to keep mines neat but not too short. Sometimes I like them grown out, and with some polish. Otherwise nails get really soft and easy to break.

I try and take good care of mine, but they're bad to begin with. The cuticle always grows too far up, and there's nothing I can seem to do about it. That's the only major problem, though. They also have these very small and faint ridges that run vertically along the nail, which I got from my mom. :\ That's not a big deal, though.

They look the least bad when I keep them very short, however. (I'm male.)
