Does anyone have any tips for being cool? Some people in my school are soooo cool its impossible for me to become like them.I am nice to others but everyone has Low respect for me....

One, what do you consider cool? I don't mean stuff you think is cool because it looked cool when other people did or woar it. I mean things you think are cool that you haven't heard anyone else mention.
Here's what I always do: while at the mall, I pick out clothes I think look cool. I like them. They're the kind of things I would want to wear.
None of them are really in any certain category like "emo" or "preppy," but if I see something I think is cool from those one of those categories, I buy it and wear it.
This shows you have a since of style and are not just trying to be a walking clice (sp?). And if you're a quiet guy like me, this is probably one of the best ways to clue people in to your personality and perhaps get them interested in you.
Secondly, don't hold back. If you have any weird or funny comments to say, say them. I've been doing this more and more recently, and I seem to be getting better responses from people than when I was more of a one-dimensional character.
Thirdly, don't try to act cool, or try to act like people you think are cool. It won't work, and even if it did you would just be faking coolness. You want to be yourself, what you think is cool. If you are going to try to fake it, at the very least try to be unique.

Not necessarily. It could start with that and flourish into something much more meaningful. Hell, it doesn't happen all the time, no. But, at the very least, it's happened to me several times, and I've gotten amazing friendships out of a little bit of shallowness.

I used to hang around with one of my old schools "coolest" people even though I'm not very "cool" myself. Basically they had joined a football club and made contact with lots of people early and knew most people in school one way or another. They had pretty good grades, also they didn't trashtalk people as far as I know. Generally laid-back personalities.
So.. socialize and find people with similar interests.
Can't think of any other way around it.

part of life is learning how to change your actions/subjects of discussion slightly to cater to different groups of people. this will help you befriend different types of people. call it being shallow or whatever you want to call it, but even if you don't like doing that in the personal world it's useful for jobs. you need to know how to act as if you care about the person you're talking to
