That sucks that you have to pay to receive a message. Where the hell do you live, Outer Mongolia? I agree though that text messaging is a waste of money, most of the time at least. It's useful if you know somebody is too busy to speak but you need to leave them some information. Also its good for very short conversations, and I find I'm always listening to music and so a few texts arranging to meet up is good because I can still keep the music on. For most stuff that people text me about I'd rather they called because we could get the main conversation topic over in about 2 minutes rather than texting back and forth for a half hour, spending ten times the amount of the call cost. /rant
