in b4 rickroll joke. (that's Astley, btw.)

All I want to know is, has it worked? Has it improved the lives of the patient and her family? If so, awesome. It must have been a very difficult decision, and even if the whole thing creeps me out, I think it's their decision to make, and live with. Indeed, insofar as it reduces the burden and expense of care, it's good for the rest of society, either as taxpayers or as insurance customers.

Indeed, apart from the "ick" factor, I don't really see the down side.

While I agree with you, however I do think if she were euthanised it would greatly reduce the burden.

I wonder if they would if they could.

But you'd be surprised what people can learn to live with.

I would not like having to deal with menstruation on a disabled 7 year old. I have full sympathy for Ashley and her parents for this ordeal. If I was the parent, I'd probably do the same thing as they have done.

I would keep the menstruation in little jars, labeled by month.
