Electronic Arts' (and Maxis' by extension, because of their passivity and submissive sexuality) stance on DRM, other "protection" bullshit and "let's make a game for everyone" ruining of the awesomeness that Spore could have been, making it only a good game in the eventuality you are using the pirated version.
