One thing has been bugging me for a while so I'm asking all you guys that know something about Japanese geography.
I've been looking around for a way to going to Okinawa from Kagoshima (or another town at the southern tip of Japan). I know that Route 58 goes to Okinawa but I have no idea how much of of the 58 that's actually a road! When i first speculated I thought it might be possible that there was really long bridge, but when checking the map I figured that a bridge cannot possibly be 450 miles!
So the most probable theory is that the 58 is a whole lot of ferries, right? And that taking these ferries down to Okinawa is the only way, other than flying, to get there.
So, is there anyone that can confirm my little research, and if that one maybe even know about prices, travel time and everything else that might be of interest I'd be grateful!
Thanks a lot!
I was very curious about your comment, so I looked for some information about route 58
What a surprise!
My fixed concept about "road" was broken into pieces when I knew that there is a road runs through on the ocean!
It is needless to say that you have to drive on it by "ferry"
I'm sorry that I can't give you any help because I've never been to Okinawa.
