Regarding [life sized] dolls... I've often considered getting one myself -- perhaps not even of the sex doll variety, but purely for the moe points it would give the house to have a cute maid doll sitting around all the time. Thing is, the investment isn't exactly small, both in terms of the doll itself and keeping it clothed, so I often wonder if others have prior experience with owning them and have opinions on whether it's worth the effort or not.

And well, this is after all a hive of otaku, so I thought I might as well ask. Feel free to sage the crap out of my thread. I won't mind.

Feel free to learn what "sage" means and is used for on actual 2ch-style boards, too. It's not an insult.
