So, my parents have taken my computer's power cord because for a few months now I've been doing nothing but browsing the internet 11-15 hours a day and sleeping. Even though I have methods of getting onto the internet(sneaking around and taking another power cord, going on the internet at a friend's house or at the library), I really wish I could internet ALL DAY like I did before.
My parents say that the internet is like heroine, and I can't get off of it.
BUT I LOVE THE INTERNET.
What should I do, guys?
Stop browsing the internet so god damn much. It'll turn you into a zombie. It is really no different from watching television all day.
how can you browse the internet so much, anyways?
All sites I know (except the porn-stuff) are getting boring after a couple of hours..
find something that inspires you to go outside. and make yourself do it.
Get a job. Quit after six months and you can resume your lifestyle at leisure. Or alternately if your addiction has waned by then, don't.
I'd rather die
I'd rather study for my exams!!!
Bye for now.
See you soon.
Go on an adventure
I didn't have the internet for two weeks, and realised how empty and boring my life seemed without it. It was rather scary how much I'd grown to depend on it, even though I had lived in a time where Internet wasn't available to the public. Because of that, I now limit myself to how much I go on the internet, and make sure I spend time with friends and more productive endeavors like developing a hobby.
Draw shit. Run. Draw more shit. Run some more.
Kill people- er, actually, don't do that. Join a fight club. Do what >>8 said. Do what >>5 said. Build something.
Do not:
watch TV -- like the internet, but you don't do anything but stare at it
replace your porn collection on your computer with magazines -- they suck, and you're not avoiding the real problem of being sedentary
kill/maim people -- bad idea, jail is not fun
The Internet is quite terrible. I don't know how anybody can be addicted to it. I'm only on it so much right now since it's winter. As soon as the weather gets nicer, I'm going to be out a lot more.
because its winteer
