Is Rosetta Stone the best language learning software? I'm probably wrong but I have heard that this is what they use in the government when they need to teach someone really quickly.

I've also found Rosetta to be somewhat wanting for anything but building basic skills rapidly. It's also tedious if you're trying to learn multiple languages. Can you recommend alternatives? WP is too NPOV to have any >.<

I'd like to see some other programs too, as said above. Something that can help you become fluent.

I've tried out Rosetta Stone, but I found that it fails really, really hard.

There are quite a lot of ways to learn a language that are better (although admittedly, being better than RS doesn't take much).

For example, the Assimil courses are a good way to start learning a language.
