Never been kissed. (53)

What's it like? My friends have told me it's romantic and heartbeating but how does it happen?

2 Name: Secret Admirer : 2006-11-19 05:42 ID:+EwkGBde

I'm in the same situation. It probably doesn't help that your name is TokyoJapan22.

I'm 14, but I share the same thing as you.
Do what I do: chill.

It's not good to think too much about it, you'll end up feeling like crap.
Like this old grandma song: YOU CAN'T HURRY LOVE.

Unless you are 22, in which case.. Uh.. Yeah D: Try harder or something.

9 Name: Secret Admirer : 2006-11-19 10:37 ID:lURLxNBK

In my case my first real kiss (not counting spin the bottle and mucking around with friends and the like) came after a very long and uncomfortable hour or so sitting next to the girl on a wall with me attempting to make conversation about the weather and the like. I was shy, she was even shyer, but we both wanted it so, eventually, I sort of got up, she sort of got up, looking at me out of the corner of her eye (she's ever so cute sometimes) and then I sort of went in.

You won't explode or anything, but after all the that anticipation it was pretty good. You will probably think more than anything "God...this is so soft"...

Ahhh nostalgia... I really miss her sometimes still, it didn't work out for long because of the shyness, we're both better now but at first she didn't want to risk it for fear of me still being pathetic and undecisive and now I live 600km or so away from her.

Advice, if you decide to do something, always do it, confidence is the most important thing a man (or woman) can have, and fear of looking stupid or being rejected, well. It's nothing compared to a lifetime of regret. Trust me. You'll laugh about your rejections with your friends, but you'll suffer alone when you think about your missed oppurtunities for years after.

Sorry for the long post, good luck.

Hell yes.

I asked a girl out (for the first time, 2 months ago lols D:), got rejected. Sure, I felt like shit for a day or so, but I got over it.

Atleast I made the first step.. to become a man!

As far as I remember, my first kiss wasn't a great kiss. It wouldn't be, I mean, it's not like either of us knew how to do it well. I don't feel any nostalgia about it either. I guess that's sad, but oh well. I've been kinda jaded for a long time.

Um... so ignore what I just said, don't end up like me, and listen to other people's fond memories.

Also, >>9's advice is indeed excellent. And if you decide to do something, but can't stop feeling nervous, just try to hide it. When it pays off (and it probably will, it's hard to stress how much difference self confidence (or the appearance of it) can make), I'm pretty sure that nervousness will just disappear. :3

I had my first kiss on my 18th bday, the girl said it was a present. It felt funny.

hmm....So it's a matter of randomness to kiss? Does it matter where it happens and when?

23 Name: Secret Admirer : 2006-11-20 23:31 ID:eWh3ibJL

It does matter where and when. Usually you want to kiss at her door at the end of the date. This gives her an escape if she didn't like the kiss or date, or if she likes you, makes her want you more since you leaving on a high note.

Kissing is gross and unhygienic.

Don't do it. Seriously. The other person's mouth tastes weird and smells funny and this is a person who brushes their teeth all the time.

>>25

No YOU fucking grow up. Kissing seriously IS unhygienic. Do you even know how kissing got started? It was a means to give food from one person to another or something like that.

You can get herpes, cold sores, and all kinds of other shit from kissing someone elses mouth including all that bacteria.

I don't kiss....ANYONE. Don't let the zog box fool you into doing something you wouldn't normally do.

32 Name: Secret Admirer : 2006-11-22 07:12 ID:jOBlJgFJ

I love kissing. My first kiss was by the girl I'm gonna marry someday. She asked me out and she kissed me first. After our first date we cuddled and kissed and etc., till it got to the lips. Its very soft, kinda slobbery, but still wonderful. And its quite a sensation when she sticks her tongue in your mouth. Now we make out almost every day, frenching and everthing. I love her so much :)

>>27 Yes, it's true you can get STDs from kissing but that's a risk one must take. Kissing is one way to show intimacy and to sexually arouse the other partner. And no need to swear mate, that just proves my point about you needing to grow up.

bottom line... kissing is a good thing, to many people try and fill there lifes with words that dont mean anything, and kissing is a way to show someone you care about them with out having to speak.

do you listen to green day?...

anyway, from howstuffworks.com:

Anyone who has ever been kissed knows that the sensations involved aren't confined to the mouth. Your facial nerve carries impulses between your brain and the muscles and skin in your face and tongue. While you kiss, it carries messages from your lips, tongue and face to your brain to tell it what's going on. Your brain responds by ordering your body to produce:

* Oxytocin, which helps people develop feelings of attachment, devotion and affection for one another
* Dopamine, which plays a role in the brain's processing of emotions, pleasure and pain
* Serotonin, which affects a person's mood and feelings
* Adrenaline, which increases heart rate and plays a role in your body's fight-or-flight response

When you kiss, these hormones and neurotransmitters rush through your body. Along with natural endorphins, they produce the euphoria most people feel during a good kiss. In addition, your heart rate increases and your blood vessels dilate, so your whole body receives more oxygen than it does when you're just standing around. You can also smell the person you're kissing, and researchers have demonstrated a connection between smells and emotions.

also for >>27 from the same site:

Cooties from Kissing?
Most people know that mouths are germy places. Kissing is directly tied to a few illnesses:

* Mononucleosis is often called "the kissing disease" because it is carried in saliva and can be spread through kissing.
* The herpes simplex 1 virus causes cold sores and is easily transmitted through kissing.
* Although kissing doesn't necessarily cause meningitis, researchers have tracked a correlation between teenagers' number of kissing partners and likelihood of developing the disease.
* Some researchers theorize that bacteria that cause gastric ulcers may spread through kissing.
* It's unlikely that a person will contract the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) through kissing, but the United States Centers for Disease Control has reported one case of HIV transmission contracted this way.

But it is such an enjoyable exercise, why let something as simple as your fear of cooties get in the way of it?

I was 25 when I first kissed a girl. It was very sweet and nice, and it really builds affection and good mood. I'm still a virgin though and will probably remain so :/

My first kiss was incredible. It was in a completely ordinary place for no particular reason, but it was very special for us at the time. It was soft and warm and... wonderful. It really was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.
Don't worry about not being kissed, whether you're 22 or 82. It will probably only make it more special when you finally do find someone who cares for you. And you will. I know that you've heard it a million times, but be yourself. There has got to be at least one person out there who will someday see the good in you.
Why should you care about anyone but the one who will love you?
Anyone who can't see the good in you is not worth your time.

Yeah I listen to Green Day but I'm starting to lose interest of them since they aint coming up with some new songs lately?

It's just so hard waiting for that one person to come by, y'know. It hurts even more when you think you finally found her cause you have that tingling sensation and everytime you see her you fanatasize how it would be to get closer to someone so perfect. And when you make a move, she see's you as a stalker, when all you wanted to do was try to talk to her. It's hard enough not to cry when you did everything you could just to be noticed only to have it backfire and be humiliated. So most likely when I see the one for me, It'll be harder to know her cause I'll have the memory of before. Maybe the whole "kissing" thing is just a mirage. I guess it'll be a long time of waiting for me till I experience it. Besides, Nice guys finish last and will fall many times until he can no longer get back up on his feet.

I'm 18. I haven't been kissed, and I honestly don't care. If you are sitting around being depressed that you haven't been kissed, get some hobbies. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just saying that it's not a big deal and when the time is right you will get your kiss on. Until then, what's the point of sweating it besides just wasting time when you could be doing something...I don't know, fun?

well if something in your life is preventing you from having fun, then why not push it aside? you are using the excuse of not having a girlfriend for accomplishing nothing. you must live a sad pitiful life because all you want is a girlfriend. there is more to life than kissing a girl. >>48 is completely right. what is he big deal? im 19, i have never kissed a girl and i have no regrets. im in college hoping to get a phd and a hell of alot research done. i volunteer, i play in a band, i am in a soccer league. it is possible i will never ever kiss a girl and i am perfectly fine with it. so go, worry about not find a girl and kissing her, and when you do, im sure you will start a new thread, "Never Been Fucked." for you, my horny friend, are more concerned about satisfying your carnal pleasure than pursuing the more finer things in life.

it not that big of a deal, you know whats the big deal?
the poster of this message never been in love with anyone. No is special for him...
now thats something to be concerned about, cause if you can like others and try, you'll reach them eventually. but if you don't then you are screwed.
